We love Braselton, GA

From culture and the arts to historic charm, Braselton welcomes residents and visitors with open arms.

Braselton’s origin story lends to its historic charm. William Harrison Braselton and Susan Hosch purchased 800 acres shortly after being married. Their beautiful property was close enough to family and far enough away to start a new life together. In 1887, their youngest son, John Oliver Braselton, began his own country store at the ripe old age of 10. Later on, brothers Green and William Henry joined the business and became known as the “three B’s.” The Braselton Brothers Store would become the town’s centerpiece, as would the Braselton family. The Georgia General Assembly incorporated Braselton as a town in 1916.

The Braselton Bros. Department Store building renovated and renamed the 1904 Original Braseleton Mercantile still stands in historic downtown Braselton, providing a multi-purpose venue for shopping, dining, meeting, and housing the town’s heritage center. Braselton’s unique history and exciting future are just two of the many things that draw Desjoyaux Pools to serve the residents of Braselton.

Events that Encompass Every Interest

The Braselton Bros. building is just one of many historic sights in downtown Braselton. Nearby, the town green hosts several concerts and family-friend events throughout the year. One of its most popular events occurs just down the road at Braselton Park. Braselton’s Antique & Artisan Festival draws over 25,000 people from all over the metro area and surrounding states to enjoy more than 300 vendors. Other popular downtown annual events in Braselton include Pooches in the Park and their wine and chocolate walks. One of the best ways to enjoy these events is to hop aboard the Braselton Trolley for an authentic historic downtown experience.

If you are looking for something a little more exotic, Braselton hosts the Motul Petit Le Mans Internation Endurance Race each October at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Known as THE sporting event in the Southeast, the Petit Le Mans is four days of action-filled racing excitement.

After all of that adrenaline, you may want to unwind at Chateau Elan, one of Georgia’s most premier destination resorts. Here you can tour the winery, hit the greens, or relax at the spa. Chateau Elan contains 3,500 acres of endless experiences.

Braselton is also a favorite place for foodies with everything from the fun experience of Juke N Jive Creamery, fine dining at Cotton Calf Kitchen, a genuine French creperie, The Galloping Galette, or the family friendly Braselton Brewing Company.

Shoppers love to climb aboard the trolley and make a day of visiting Braselton’s wide assortment of boutiques and antique treasures. For larger retailers, one of America’s biggest malls, the Mall of Georgia, is a short ride down I-85.

A Sports Fans Paradise

One of Desjoyaux Pool’s favorite pastimes is supporting Georgia’s talented teams.

Whether you cheer for the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, your favorite Nascar driver, or any other sport you can imagine, Braselton residents are less than an hour away from watching and supporting their favorite teams. It’s a great time to be a Georgia sports fan with Georgia teams racking up titles and championships. The Braves won the World Series in 2021, and the Georgia Bulldogs are the 2022 National Champions.

Enjoying the Great Outdoors

Braselton is just hours away from Lake Sidney Lanier, beautiful beaches, and gorgeous mountains. Whatever recreation your heart desires, it is within reach of Braselton. However, Braselton also has plenty of outdoor beauty of its own. Braselton’s Mulberry River Walk along the Mulberry River contains over 200 acres that include a walking path with perennial gardens, footbridges, a waterfall, and picnic areas along the river. One of the interesting features of the River Walk is the ability to stand in four counties at one time. The spot where Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall, and Jackson county come together is denoted by a granite monument and rest stop. Protecting Braselton’s natural resources is important to its residents for the continued enjoyment of all nature has to offer.

Braselton is one of few cities that span four counties: Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall, and Jackson. Braselton students are served by multiple county school systems, all highly recognized for their excellence.
